Hammer-Wielding Mother Smashes Window On School Bus Full Of Kids

A hammer-wielding mother started bashing a school bus full of children after the bus driver refused to let her daughter off the bus. Megan Gumbus received a phone call that her daughter had been involved in a fight with another student while riding the bus so she jumped in her car and tracked the bus down.

Surveillance video from the bus showed the two girls throwing punches at each other for over a minute while other students watched and recorded the brawl on their phones. After the stopped fighting, one of the students called Gumbus.

When she caught up with the bus, Gumbus swerved in front of it and jumped out of her car armed with a hammer and demanded the driver release her daughter.

"This parent has got a hammer at my door. This lady crazy,” the bus driver told dispatchers as she tried to drive away.

Gumbus got back in her car and cut off the bus a second time. She got out of her car and swung the hammer at the bus again, this time breaking the window.

"I cannot let nobody off this bus. I cannot let nobody off this bus," the driver told her dispatcher as Gumbus continued to bash the bus with a hammer.

While Gumbus was trying to break into the bus, her daughter was trying to get out. She started screaming at the bus driver to let her off, and at one point grabbed a broom and tried to break a window so she could leave.

The bus driver eventually lets her off the bus. Police arrived and arrested Gumbus. Gumbus and the two girls were charged with disorderly conduct.
