Sean "Diddy" Combs is reportedly on suicide watch as he awaits his upcoming trial for his sex trafficking case.

According to a report People published on Thursday, September 19, the troubled music mogul is being heavily monitored at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn. Sources say Combs is currently in a state of shock and his mental state is "unclear." There's no word on how long the Bad Boy founder has been on suicide watch. It's also not certain if he's actually suicidal, however, officials at the jail are taking "preventative measures." The update was published shortly after Combs was denied bail for a second time.

Combs is being held at the jail, which is known for its alleged brutal conditions, as his trial in New York City approaches. After he was arrested earlier this week, Combs made his first court appearance where a judge denied Combs' bail. The terms of his pre-trial release included a combined $50 million collateral between his and his mother's homes in Miami. The artist also gave up his and his family's passports, agreed to be monitored 24/7, and promised to restrict female visitors. Despite all efforts, the judge agreed with the prosecution and deemed him dangerous to potential witnesses.

Another judge denied his bail for a second time the following day. During his appeal hearing, Combs' lawyer Marc Agnifilo requested to have his client transferred to another prison in Essex County, New Jersey. The Bureau of Prisons will have the final say on Combs' next destination. In the meantime, he will remain separated from the general population at MDC.

Combs' legal team is expected back in court on September 24 for another conference hearing. A trial date has not been set yet.
