Latto is back with a new song that might remind fans of one of Aaliyah's greatest hits.
On Friday, May 16, the Atlanta rapper dropped her new single "Somebody" produced by Pooh Beatz. The hard-hitting love song has Latto craving the man of her dreams in the worst way. Big Latto channels her inner Aaliyah as she samples the late singer's "Are You That Somebody" on the hook, and even samples the legendary Rick James when she says "give it to me baby."
"I really need somebody/Tell me you that somebody/I don't care about your bodies," she raps. "Love the way you touch my body/From the back, get bodied/I ain't never tell nobody."
Latto also shared the song's official music video directed by her younger sister Brooklyn Nikole. The Grammy-nominated artist shot the visuals during a lavish vacation in Jamaica, where she laid out on the beach, partied with her friends and recorded some new music. It's the first solo track Latto dropped since she released her album Sugar Honey Iced Tea last year.
"Somebody" appears at the top of iHeartRadio's Rap Rising playlist this week. Latto's new single dropped alongside other fresh hits from BossMan Dlow, Snoop Dogg, 2 Chainz, Tee Grizzley, Animé and more. Press play up top and scroll below to hear more new music.
