Women Leading The Way; Celebrating Hip-Hop 50TH Anniversary....

All 2023 the culture is celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Hip-Hop. Fans have been blown away with the new class of female artist making waves in the game.

Women have played an integral role in Hip-Hop from the beginning. Artist like MC Sha-Rock, Roxanne Shante and Queen Latifah knocked down doors in the 80's with Salt N' Pepa coming through in the 90's change the female rap game. The 90's had every female wearing symmetrical hair cuts coping Salt N' Pepper along with other fashion trends.

The new generation of rappers had the chance to grow up on artist like Lil Kim taking female sexuality in music to another level. Gangsta Boo's southern swagger and Nicki Minaj super powers flows.

The next generation of female artist on the rise or better yet leading the way are rappers like Ice Spice, Brooklyn rapper Lola Brooke, Doja Cat and many more. Memphis rapper GloRilla soared releasing number one hits. Chart-topping "H-Town Hottie" Megan Thee Stallion has been awarded three Grammy awards. Along with six BET Awards, five BET Hip-Hop Awards, four American Awards, two MTV Video Awards, a Billboard Women in Music Award.

Doja Cat has become a staple in the new generation of female artist. With her unique style she has fans all over the world hooked on quirky bars. She has won awards for song she's written, including a grammy award as well.

The list of female rappers consist of names like; Dochie, Flo Milli, Rico Nasty, and Latto. This is an exciting time in Hip Hop for women. Keep an eye out for the next female rapper to take over the game. Don't say Stichiz didn't tell you.
