- Way to kick a man while he's down.
- This stems from 2005 -- how are you now just realizing you got stiffed?
- He already has pending gun charges. He doesn't need anymore heat right now.
- He did the work, pay the man. You have the money
Lil Wayne's ex-manager Ronald Sweeney is suing him for more than $20 million in alleged unpaid commissions and wages.
According toTMZ, Sweeney says Weezy stiffed him after he helped renegotiate a record deal many years ago with Cash Money Records. In the lawsuit, he also mentions becoming Wayne's manager in 2018, after Weezy asked him to fire his manager at the time,Cortez Bryant, and agreeing to a 17-percent commission for business dealings.
Sweeney says he initially received payments, but that stopped short. He also says that cash flow isn't a problem for Wayne because he received a $100 million payout for selling his masters to Universal Music Group.
