IN BLANKSTARE NEWS: Still haven’t taken down your Christmas decorations?

A new survey found that 55% of respondents voted January 16th as the unofficial “take down date” for holiday decorations.

No worries. A new survey found that 55% of respondents voted January 16th as the unofficial “take down date” for holiday decorations. But if you want to leave them up all year, that’s OK too, according to many of those surveyed. In fact, 45% said that keeping the lights and decorations up all year is perfectly fine.

Speaking of the holidays …

Jingle bills … The holidays are over, which means it’s time for the holiday money hangover. According to a new WalletHub survey, 1 in 10 people overspent on gifts for the holidays, and 45% say they have no idea how they're going to pay off the debt. In fact, 20% expect to be adding onto that debt this year. The average American household has about $10,700 in credit card debt, and 20% believe their debt will prevent them from retiring when they want to.
